I just found this forum and have been addicted to it eversince. I've learned so much from everyone. My question is, a few years ago my college database was hacked into and they advised us to put a fraud alert with the CRAs. I did that and was wondering how long it should be on and will it have a negative impact of any kind? Thanks.

If its the extended fraud alert I believe its 7 years, and no it will not effect your score at all.
