If you close the Walmart account. You will still have access thru the closed account to see you  Fico score...

Thanks for the info!  I'm going to ditch the Walmart card.  I never use it, and it's a pain to charge something occasionally just to keep it open for the score. Smiley Very Happy

Awesome score!!

Which score is Fair Isaac v2 in your signature and where did you obtain it? Is that EX FICO 98?

Does anyone know when and how often it will update?

Whenever Barclay performs soft pull. Mine was done 9/24 and the FICO from the Barclay says so, too. So, I do not recommend to close a WM CC since it gives the score consistantly.

Aloha,

I closed my Walmart over a year ago.. I just log in my account Monthly shows closed account but Myfico updates is still showing. There have been posts on this for years..

This is great. Thanks for bringing this to light, I wouldn't have found it otherwise.

The EX v2 score in my siggy is from PSECU.  I've seen it debated that the PSECU score is actually v3 (EX04) which I tend to believe but I just leave it at v2 in my siggy until I can get a more definitive answer.  v2 would be EX98 and v3 would be EX04.

Nice. I didn't know that until I saw another post saying that today. WM can choose not to provide that on closed accounts though, no? Or WM is aware of this free service and providing it purposely?

Good question mine showed 9/17

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
