Freezing secondary bureaus ie Lexis Nexis Sagestream etc

I freezed secondary bureaus so I could dispute inaccuracies off my credit but does this also prevent me from being accepted for the credit cards that I apply for?

You don't need to freeze reports in order to dispute accuracies and freezing them won't prevent existing creditors from soft-pulling them, inaccuracies and all,  as part of their account review processes as that is a Permissible Purpose that a freeze doesn't inhibit.

As for freezing the secondary reporing agencies,  while it isn't an absolute keeping them frozen when applying for credit them can prevent an approval.    In some cases the creditor may follow up and ask you to thaw a report in order to process the application but that isn't a guarantee either.   To give a real world example US Bank has been known to sometimes decline an application if one's SageStream report is frozen.

It's a complete myth that freezing secondaries like LexisNexis will do anything at all to help the dispute process. It will also make your life all around harder in general to apply for banking products and to be asked security verification questions.
