GETTING NO COOPERATION FROM AGENCIES

I have several accounts showing on my report that are much older than 7 years.  Some are as old as from 1989.  They are not bad but I just want them off to clean up my report.  I also have a 30 day late on my car from the Jaguar dealer which is not correct.  I have written the agency several time and I have also contacted the dealer and they assured me they would correct the information.  This has gone on for about 4 years and to date this information has not been corrected.  How can I get this corrected short of taking them to court!

Re: GETTING NO COOPERATION FROM AGENCIES

If they are not bad, DO NOT REMOVE THEM. If you do the average age of your accounts will go down and you will probably lose points off your credit score (possibly a lot of points if these also represent your oldest accounts).

Age of accounts is an important part of your FICO score.
