GTE re-aging???

I sent a PFD by way of CMRR a few weeks ago and have heard nothing from the CA but today I got a CS alert saying derog info was added to my report....it is GTE and it is showing a status date of 09/30/07 and a balance date of 09/30/07 and status is COLLECTION.

The original date was back in 04, for a total amount of $237.00

 I offered to PIF for Delete.....I don't understand..what are they doing????

Anyone have any ideas???? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

That's why I don't understand. I offered to PIF......it just doesn't make since to me. 

I mean what else could they want....my first born???

If you disputed before sending a PFD    it could be their answer to CRA on dispute(if you disputed)

original date in  04 for what   CA  or CO,  DOFD??  what is your SOL?

Did you offer PIF or PFD??

They did not re-age   they updated to 9/30 (report date)

I did not dispute, I knew that bill was mine.

I just offered to pay the full amount($237.00) for delete. I used the PFD letter I found on this forum.

It was not shown as a collection until today. It was showing up as 120 days + late so the 04 date is from the original creditor I believe.

I had to send the PFD letter to AT&T as they bought out GTE Southwest in our area a long time ago.

As for the SOL, I am in Texas....I am pretty sure it is 7 years.
