Just wanted to share some success - I've had a late mark on my credit report from the local power company from about three years ago. I sent the power company a GW in Dec to no avail. Sent them the same letter three weeks ago and low and behold their listing is now deleted from Experian (and I assume the rest).
It would appear that persistence is the key.
