GW went out today...NERVOUS!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a nice day!
Sent out my GW letter to J.Crew and Citibank this morning.
Tonight I will write out a PFD to Amex and Chase.
How long did it take before you heard back?
I'm sure each case is different but I'd like to know how long I'll have this 'nervous' feeling

I've done 3 GW letters, but not to the same companies as you. All three were successful, but they took between 1-2 months. Do not be discouraged if you get a form letter that says that they can't help you. I got one of those and then a few weeks later the baddies were removed. I don't think they normally send you anything back saying they have removed items, but I did get a letter from Walmart saying that they were making the change I requested (a valid late payment notation). Funny thing is, I had my first alert on my TC account and I saw that it was the removal of the late, and then got home and found the letter from Walmart in the mail.

The only way to be sure, is to pull your reports again unless you have something like TrueCredit monitoring.

Thanks! Now working on my PFD! My credit score needs major help and I'm hoping all the success stories I'm reading here, well I'm hoping that one day, I'll be able to share my success story and help people with their questions

I got a letter back from a different creditor in regards to GW letter i wrote to them about a derog account. They said that they cannot honor my request. However, my Experian report showed that derog marks had been removed.

How do you think that happens??? Citibank saying no and then the CRA removing the derog from your report???

trying to send out a PFD to Chase and Amex...I'm really nervous to send out a letter and have it backfire on me. Chase is a Public Record and has gone to collection (but credit report states that I contact Chase Legal Department). Amex says it's in collection but I recently recieved a letter saying if I pay the outstanding balance in full, they will re-instate my membership...but will they remove the collection and late payments???
