Geico Raised my rates

After 5 straight rate reductions- Geico Raised my rates $2 a month

This could be punishment for putting them on auto-pay though AMEX or the speeding ticket I paid instead of going to driving school.

$2 bucks - no worries

Now at $158 a month for full coverage on 3 vehicles.

Re: Geico Raised my rates

Not bad for 3 vehicles.
I pay $101/month with Esurance.
Maybe I should do the "...15 minutes could save you 15% or more on your car insurance" thing. Smiley Happy

Re: Geico Raised my rates

I've always found Geico to be more expensive.

I switched to Allstate. I have the accident forgiveness and get my deductible dropped $100 every 6 months I don't have a wreck. I pay $62 a month for full coverage on a 05 Infiniti.

Re: Geico Raised my rates

Here in California, where we have the best government money can buy, auto insurance is mandatory. So, I pay around $100 to insure one car (0 points on my record). When purchase of a commodity is made mandatory, the price goes up. Who woulda thought?

My DW's SUV's value has dropped pretty hard with the gas prices-

Re: Geico Raised my rates

I saw a picture of a big, hulking SUV with its seats stripped out, being used as a storage shed in someone's backyard. Kind of like a small version of a boxcar.

Re: Geico Raised my rates

We pay roughly $95/month for two cars, comprehensive on both, $250 deductible, with USAA.

Mine is an almost paid for '99 Sable sedan LX (which is OUTTA here after we've bought a house -- it SUCKS), and a completely paid for '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (hubby would really rather you cut off his you-know-what than get rid of that car -- he LOVES it!).

We only pay so little because of USAA. We did the price comparison at Geico and Progressive -- each wanted us to pay approximately $250/month for the same coverage. Smiley Sad

We also pay renter's insurance with flood and hurricane coverage (again, through USAA) -- and here in FL, we NEED it. We pay approximately $20/month for that.
