Getting a Job with bad credit

If you have so so credit line,,it makes it harder for you to get a job...Who is the yo yo that said now they can judge you by your credit score that you are denied a job...

Life is hard enough..if you get fired from a job and your credit is boarder line, your out of a job for 6 months how are you supposed to get ahead..

If the new employer wants to find out your back ground isn't that was a background check is for..Why has it come down to this now?

What ever happened to the privacy act? Or is that out the window as well

Unfortunately, when you are in an industry that handles people money and or personal business, it tells a lot about how you handle your credit, how well you will take care of someone else's credit.

I work in an industry where mishandling peoples business, can cause them years of credit hassle. We do do credit checks and yet, you do not have to have perfect credit. We are looking at your credit to see if you are handling your business.

We also review to see who you owe. If you owe people in the same industry as us, then how can you honestly compel others to pay us when you haven't.

Also, there is no or very little privacy out there, you should know that by now.

Most jobs aren't going to not hire you just because your FICO score's a little shaky. Most are looking for BKs or a string of recent unpaid major debts.

If your credit is truly trashed and U.S. employers are blacklisting you on account of it (which is rare except in high-end security-clearance type stuff) you may wish to look at emigrating to a nation where your trade is in demand. Most of the rest of the world has better privacy laws--at least in the realm of personal history--than the United States.
