I am having issues getting a security freeze removed from my Equifax report. Earlier in 2008 I was enrolled in their Credit Watch product with the option to lock and unlock my report. When I cancelled the service, the lock was apparantly stuck ON. I have been going around in circles trying to get this removed. Back in September after talking to multiple supervisors, they finally decided to sign me back up for a free month and they then were able to get the lock removed which resulted in the security freeze coming off. However I have now discovered that after the free month was over, the security freeze is back on my report and after calling again it is apparantly due to this lock thing with the credit watch. Now I am having to start from scratch doing the same things that didnt work before (opening a technical ticket, etc). I am sorry now that I ever signed up for this service, and definitely will never sign up for it again.
I have spoken to multiple supervisors and not getting anywhere. Can anyone tell me how I can contact someone higher up at Equifax?
