Good Rebuilder Card Reviewed Hooters Master Card

Seems weird but yes this card even boasts that it helps people with bad credit. I would still think your credit has to be somewhat clean with past problems ok. They currently in my experience pull from TU. My TU is over 620 so I don't know what the cut off is. Always read terms and conditions BEFORE APPLYING AND ACCEPTING ANY CARD. As you know I am rebuilding my credit so I am converting from subprime cards to prime. This was good advice I learned here from other knowledgeable posters. So Kudos to them they know who they are!!  It does give an instant decision and if approved let's you know you will get something in the mail in 7-10 days once the info is fully verified. I'm not patient, I was able to call the next day and get the limit information. Nice surprise!!!

Anyway, this is worth a look at just like the WAMU/Providian which also pull TU reports.
Good Luck to all!!!

I got approved with a 592 and just discharged from bk last month.  I got approved instantly, but my husband got a 7-10 day message.  His score is better at 633, but he has higher util than I do.

Didn't bother with this one. Sliding scales for fees and APR. You don't know what you were getting into before applying. Passed on this one. Too big of a spread for me.

Re: Good Rebuilder Card Reviewed Hooters Master Card

True, on fees and rates which is why I stressed reading terms and conditions! My TU report has 1 late in past 12 months(over 7 months ago) , any other are over 2 years ago approx. 2 paid collections over a year old. I have approx 15 other open TL all in good standing  no lates ever. Hooters does have sliding int rates but they have two cards hopefully I remember this correctly one is a preferred card and the other is a select card one is for good credit the other is for bad. Salary may be looked at as well in determining the limit, they do state approved (as long as everything you state checks out) and you will hear something in a few days.

Based on some other rebuilder cards out there that charge enormous annual fees, participation fees in comparison this card should at least be looked at. Again, as long as you manage your credit responsibly int rate shouldn't be an issue. You can charge something small and pay it off. Remember, I also said not all bureaus are created equal. My TU is on its way but my EX and EQ are dragging a little they improve but slowly. My TU states I didn't have enough debt experience so for me a card that hits TU and will report to them was exactly what I needed to boost TU even more.

Every circumstance is different if you know you have no lates at all in the past 2-3 years and your score at all bureaus are 650 and higher you have many more choices which is good, however for those of us still trying to get there we must read the fine print and choose rebuilder cards that work for us.

Again, choose wisely and use the credit given to you wisely so we may all boast scores in the 700-800 in 12-18 months!!!

migraine:
What does your credit bureau look like? Also, make sure they pulled a TU and not another, again, I am in MD I'm not sure where the other poster is from where she got approved and hubby is waiting a few days. Don't be discouraged you may have to wait until something clears up on your bureau. You can call them in a day and ask why you weren't approved. Maybe you can do a reconsideration letter based on what they tell you. Ask them what their criteria is for a reconsideration. You ca apply some where else but it's good to do it when you are in a good position to get a yes and if you require the extra TL. Tell us about your profile so some of the posters can see how to assist you in getting your score up. How is your utilization?

Not sure what utilization is but here is the breakdown

State:NC

transunion

Payment History-not good
amount of debt-very good
length of credit history-good
amount of new credit-good

collections 1
number of accounts that were worse than 60 days late 2
number of accts with a missed payment 2
total amount of debt $1401
ratio of revolving balances to credit limits 0%

Now,as far as the debt, that is in dispute.I had 30 days trial to try product, didn't like it so I returned it,they said they never received
