Alrighty then!!! Got the letter in the mail confirming the removal of the 3 lates from the 4 bureaus that they report too. For anyone with Countrywide, they also report to CB Innovis. Anyway, can't wait until we get the updates on our scores. God is good and working this out for us. We are pounding away on credit, and thanks to all you guys for your encouragement and boundless info.
It won't even feel like they are really going to do it for you until you get that letter in your hand and then it will be like, wow, I just got goodwilled on a biggie baddie...
I also am waiting for my response from Countrywide. I emailed them and they responed that it would turned over to another dept and that they would get back with me. I hope they do it Iam just sitting on the edge of my sit waiting to hear back
Ok here is some of the lucky ones with Country Wide so what gives GW works with some but not with others. Is it being addressed to the right person? Is it the letter? I am confused and if they refuse should you try again?
Sent an email to the President of Countrywide yesterday. Received a phone call the same day. Actually a few hours after sending the letter I received the call. They said they were unable to remove it. Got another message from them later in the day, so I called them back today. They are going to remove the late from my reports as of today!!! Wow was I shocked. I guess it helped that I was cordial. When they first called I said that I understood and thanks for getting back to me. Thank goodness for this forum!!! Question: How much more are my scores going to go up? I need 5 more points on EX to get to 700 and 6 more on TU to get to 700. EQ needs 16 more points.
Hearts here. Don't remember the amount of points increase we got when they removed the lates but it was good enough for me. Make sure that when you get the letter, you fax it to the bureaus yourself so that they can update, otherwise it will take 30-60 days for it to be updated.
