and how do I cancel it! I swear I never went on freecreditreport.com, nor would I, but there's a $15 charge on my credit card for it.
I recently bought a new car, and got my credit reports from here and directly from Experian. I believe freecreditreport.com is owned by Experian, isn't it? So I called them, and they said I was still in the "free trial" period (from ordering my report) and that I wasn't due to be billed until 2/23, but I canceled that anyway. So I don't understand why there's a charge from FCR in January.
Honestly, I'm a little afraid to even get on to the site to try and cancel, because I don't trust them. Any ideas?
I'd call my credit card issuer and tell them this is an unauthorized charge. Let them work it out with FCR.

well, I disputed it--we'll see what happens. I just don't understand how they "got" me. evil site!
an update: it's definitely from ordering my credit report direct from Experian, who owns FreeCreditReport.com. I still don't understand how they can charge me a monthly fee after the fact from the sister site, when I swear I never entered it. So-- BE CAREFUL when ordering your credit reports!
