To let you guys know what happened, I settled with Target and they agreed to remove the 30, 60, 90 days late comments. BUT...
I notice the account is still listed under the "Adverse Accounts" area. So I think I made a boo boo and should have asked for a PFD. I'm scared removal of the 30, 60, 90 days late didn't do what I needed.
Anyone thinks they will delete now? Of course they have no real incentive. But, since I paid the account off, maybe they will consider.
Is it listed as a CO?
I now when you first posted, you mentioned a settlement offer. Did you settle for less than full balance? Does your report show this?
If your report mentions CO or settlement, it will still be a adverse account.
Hmmm interesting. On the month it was settled, it lists a Charge Off. And the Additional Information section says "Settlement Accepted on this account; Paid Charge Off;"
Thanks for that info.
So is it more likely I can get the company to delete the account or remove the Charge Off info and Settlement comment?
I'm just trying to present Target with the option that has the greater chances of me resulting in an improve FICO score.

If they remove the account completely, you will lose the history associated with the account.
When was the account opened? How does this compare to your other accounts?
My 2nd oldest account, a 5 yr old CO, was removed and I lost around 30 points.
It is always worth a try, but I am not sure you will have luck with getting them to remove the CO or settlement comments.
Wellll...I just noticed an error...it lits a baddie AFTER the settlement was made. So, I've contacted the creditor to hopefully correct that.
Also, someone else mentioned that if they have negative comments under the 'description" section ...ie Settlement, paid less than orig bal ...then it could remain adverse.
