Hello,
I am new to the forum here, but I have learned quite a bit from you all. I am asking on advice where to start in my credit rebuilding process. I have a total of 7 collections, (YIKES), and I am looking to try and get rid of them.
Here they are:
RMP Serv- $128 (Medical) 2015
Centrl FIN.-$3,019(Medical) 2015
Stellar- $603 (Dish Network) 2014
AFNI- $1,013 (AT&T) 2015
Portfolio Recovery-$481 (Capital One) 2015
Diversified Consultants-$571.-2015
My credit score is right around a 580. Does anyone have any advice on how to potentially get rid of these. Should I send pay for delete letters, get them to verify the debt, or contact the original creditor? Please excuse my ignorance, but thank you all for the help!

I usually try to get them to verfiy first that way I know if I need to pay them (though not sure what affect this has on the score).
Are you able to pay them? If you can't pay them all are you able to pay some of them off such as the small ones first. I think it looks better if there is a zero balance instead of stomething else.
I'm sure someone else can help you better.
Yes, I have the means to pay all of them, with exception of the 3,000 one. Do you think I would be able to settle for maybe half of the amount? It's a hospital bill, but I have no experience with this. Do I contact the original creditors or the collection agencies?

That I am not sure about.
I think this question should be moved to the "Rebuilding Credit" section of the forums. There are people there that will be able to help you more than I can.
You can always send a request for debt validation to the debt collector, but it may not produce any useful results at this point.
DV requests, even if timely, do not impose any requirement to send validation within any period. A timely DV imposes a cease collection bar, which remains in effect until the debt collector first sends the requested validation. They can choose to not respond or to delay any validation, and simply cease further collection activitites.
If the DV is not timely, meaning it is sent more than 30 days after dunning notice, it imposes no cease collection bar, and can simply be ignored without any requirement to send validation. The reported collections are likely no longer subject to a timely DV, and even if they were, waiting for validation may be a long period of limbo.
If the debt is valid, you can send a pay for deletion offer and attempt to get the collections discharged and deleted.
