False.  Hard inquiries will fall off after 2 years but that is regardless of approval.

When you shop for credit, inquiries remain on your credit report for two years, although FICO® Scores only consider inquiries from the last 12 months.

False.  Deletion has nothng to do with wiehter any credit is approved.

An inquiry makes of record the fact that someonw had permissible purpose and accessed your credit report.

The ultimate approval or disapproval of credit is irrelevant to that posting.

As a side matter, FICO discontinues scoring of inquiries after one year, and the CRAs choose to arbitrarily delete after approx two years.

The answer is not FALSE. IT IS TRUE, IT WILL GET REMOVED AFTER 2 YEARS NO MATTER IF LOAN GETS APPROVED OR NOT.

To be clear, it is true that it will be removed after 2 years, but false that it will be removed earlier based on any grant of the credit.
