Hard inquiry on EQ without applying for anything

TC is reporting that Chase has made an inquiry on my EQ report and I have not applied to anything involving Chase.

How do I handle getting this off my report. I do not need or want another inquiry on my report.

Thanks.

You should call or write to Chase and ask them to remove it or have them give you an explanation why they pulled your CR.

Re: Hard inquiry on EQ without applying for anything

Chase backs a lot of different companies, so before calling or contacting Chase I would write down anything I"ve app'd for and then check for inquiries for those creditors. See if there is one missing that might be backed by Chase.

Otherwise, as mentioned I would contact Chase and find out why they made an inquiry and ask them to remove it if you did not authorize it.

Yes- Chase backs lots of cards-
Kohls, Circuit City, are the first ones I can think of.
