Help - Personal Loan?

I'm building my credit!
As of now, I have almost a year of history. 2 credit cards through wachovia, and one through HSBC (HP Home Office's bank).  My scores average a 725, right now. No bad payment history.
I want to start mixing up my credit history. I don't need an auto loan, and obviously can't get a mortgage loan.
I need to make some decent size purchases, and was thinking about a personal loan.
My question is, where is the best place to take one out?
Specifically to me, should I continue to build my credit with Wachovia and get the loan through them? Or should I go to another bank like Bank of America?
OR is there a totally better way to go about building my credit?
I realize the new application will bring down my scores for the time being, but with time I would hope it would continue to build in the right direction.

I'd really appreciate the advice!

Re: Help - Personal Loan?

We have a LOC with BOA ,  only bad things are BT fee (they will some times wave this).  Worst is it reports as revolving on our TU so therefore figures into our util.  But thankfully it is at zero right now so no real problem.

I think sometimes (case with us) you can depend on one bank too much.  So maybe you need to develope a relationship with other companies, so if the need arises you have choices.  Just my thoughts.  Good Luck Vicki
