Help! Problem with Equifax report

I need to initiate a dispute with Equifax to get an inquiry removed, and in order to do so I first need to pull my report. I went online and requested a free report (both denied credit and had a change to credit limit recently), filled everything out, and got a message that said:

Online Delivery Unavailable

At this time we are unable to deliver your credit file online. You may call us to request your credit file be sent to you by contacting us at 1-800-685-1111.

I did, however, receive a confirmation email that gave the order transaction number and said "Your product is ready to use right now" - I cannot, however, see any report available when I log on to my account. I then called the number listed (voice-automated) and tried again to request my free report. I was given another confirmation number and told to hold while my call was transferred, at which point I was disconnected instead. If I try to request yet another copy, it charges me and asks for credit card information because their records indicate that I have already gotten my free copy.

I cannot for the life of me get a real person on the line to sort this out. I tried calling their product support line and got an offshort agent who simply transferred my call back to the voice-automated number. I emailed customer service as well, but have not heard back even though they said I would get a response by now (and let's face it, I have never had a positive experience emailing customer service).

Has anyone had a similar problem or know what's going on and what I can do, or at least know if there's any way to get someone on the phone to help me?

Re: Help! Problem with Equifax report

Dont have a number for calling in but what I would do is write a letter to TU tell them what happend and request the report be forwarded to you via US Mail. You want hard copy anyway its got a lot more info than one delivered online. Send the letter CMRR

Huh, I did not know that there was a substantial difference between online and hard copies - thanks!
