If that is not from a real credit report (looks like TC?), you might want to look at a report from annualcreditreport.com, or if you've already used those and it wasn't listed, pay for a real report directly from the CRA, to see if there is more information available on that account.

What is the SOL in your state? Can you afford to pay it off? What is the DOFD? The SOL would run from the DOLA of 05/2002 listed there, and the CRTP would run from DOFD, which I can't tell from there.

I'm in NC........so I think it is 3 yrs.

I copied this from myfico here;  from Equifax report

I can pay it off but I'd rather have that money for downpayment.

MyFico has real credit scores, but it isn't necessarily a full report, and you can see more info from your yearly free report from annualcreditreport.com or from reports purchased directly from the CRA. Before you can get a mortgage, you are probably going to have to do something about that unpaid charge off. You can offer a PFD and see what happens.

It looks to me like a CO from Cap1   they are showing DOLA  2002......you would be past SOL. DOFD might be different.   you can call the CRA and ask when it is to drop....otherwise you will need to pull a full report.
