hello! Can someone please help me out on what exactly is on a Creditvision link credit report and how to get a copy of it? Me and my husband applied for navy fed cards a little over a month ago and both got denied (I applied again yesterday and got approved, going to start another thread for that!) At the time of application my transunion fico was about 670 and his was around 730. For me they used their own internal score and for my husband they used his creditvision link score from transunion. Not sure why they used that because he has years of history on his credit report? From what I understand that report gives lenders information on "alternative data" like pay day loans, bank accouts (deposits, bounced checks etc) and I guess any other outside data that isn't on your normal credit report. Reasons for denial were "no short term lending experience" "high interest rate loan application" and something about no mortgage experience i think. The only high interest loan application i can think of is about a year ago we really needed some money and my husband got a 2 thousand dollar line of credit from Elastic but its been paid back and they never reported the account to the credit bureaus. Other than that we have no pay day loans, no bad bank accounts etc. Why did they use this type of report and does anyone know how to get a copy of that report to see exactly what it was showing them? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
Wish I could help. Is like to know more about it as well.

Ok, let me follow up on Dumbee's excellent reply.
I think the raw trended data that is used for that credit score can be found on your Transunion credit report.
The credit report you can get from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/ shows the monthly balance and amount paid for all accounts where that data is provided by the creditor. That website will allow you to get your credit reports as often as every week until April when it is scheduled to go back to its usual once per year.
It sounds like Navy Federal might be providing you that particular credit score.
Otherwise, since the credit bureaus are not required by US law to provide you any credit score (but they do have to provide at least one credit report per year and in certain other situations), it might be hard to get that number.
The credit bureau ought to be required to give you the "alternative credit data" but I've no idea if they'll do that without being forced.
On the denial it had a creditvision link score.. i just wish I could find a way to see what "alternative data " they are seeing.. and I read somewhere that you can get a copy of your "creditvision link" report but I can't figure out HOW to get it! I'm so curious to see whats on there! I think I'm gna call transunion tomorrow!
Also for the denials it had "high interest rate loan application" so I know they are seeing stuff that isn't on our normal reports. Also the other denial of "no short term lending experience" im pretty sure they are meaning like pay day loans.. why in the hell would that be a bad thing?? Lol.. you would think they would look at that as a positive thing.. when i was reading about creditvision they were saying they can see stuff like being able to borrow a small amount of money and pay it back quick (pay day loans). From what I gathered though it was more for people who don't have a fico score and its a way for lenders to see other things people are doing financially and a way for lenders to approve someone who doesn't have a fico score or super thin file.. im just not sure why they would use that on my husband when he has a car loan, a regular loan, 9 credit cards and 5 years of history and does have a fico score.. i dunno it was just super strange
This is interesting. I've never heard of that. I'm following this thread. Please let us know what you find out, OP.
