Obviously the 2 Park Dansan Accounts are the same, but the "past due" on Park Dansan and the "past due" on Midland is what makes me think that those two are the same. Then on LVNV the drop off date is awful close to Park Dansan's Drop off date, but the Balances are way off. I also happened to get a letter from Midland as well the same day. It states they are the current owner of the account.

The "no forwarding address" cracks me up. I have been where I am since Nov 2005. Before that I was at that address from Nov 2002-Nov 2005. Not only did I forward my mail, but have the same mail lady. Before that I was at an address I had been at since I was in Middle School. I had moved in/out over the few years since High School but had always remained using that address.

I do remember having a bill when I switched subscribers. However, I thought it was with my local provider. But I remember calling and asking for a full itemized bill that showed where all the charges came from b/c I didn't think the amount due was right. We hardly called long distance and we normally used prepaid phone cards to keep our bill low. I was told that I would have to pay $1 per page to get an itemized bill. That is when I told em if they couldn't prove to me how much I owed, I couldn't pay em. I refuse to pay someone to show me how much I owe. And I never thought no more about it.

I tried to line the rows up all nice and neat and typed it out in Microsoft Office Word and it looked fine there but couldn't get em straight here, sorry.

4 CA's for 1 debt-
That is crazy and illegal -
Only 1 CA should be reporting and only 1 time-

Ocean, what's your state's SOL? If past SOL, I would DV them all for full media validation. If near SOL, leave it alone.

Re: Hmmm...something isn't right

Ocean, the same thing is happening to me--both Midland AND the original creditor are reporting at the same time.  Only on TU is it reporting as a collection; it's showing up as another open account on my credit report.

I've heard that Midland should "fall off" when the line from the OC falls off, but on my EX report, the OC account has been reaged, as has Midland.

I'd be really interested in hearing what approaches the general MyFico community thinks would be successful in fixing this!

I was thinking it was crazy too.

Isn't it also illegal to be reporting different DOFD? Isn't that what is called re-aging?

If they validate, I'll ask if they'll accept worthless stock...............LOL

Be nice if you could send them to collections and get your money, huh?

Written/Promissary- 10 years
Oral/Open - 5 years

Not sure where this falls.

If not past SOL, I think I am still going to DV.

Worst Case Scenario........They validate, refuse PFD, file suit, --in which I pay upon being served.

Best Case Scenario..........They can't validate-- they all get removed.

Is everyone with my thinking that these are all the same account?

Re: Hmmm...something isn't right

Anyone know if there is a letter you'd send to  someone reporting wrong DOFD or how would you do that? Would that be something you file complaint to FTC on, dispute with CRA?
