Homecomings

Dear Customer,

Please accept our apology for the delay in our response.

In response to your inquiry, credit is reported every month and is for the month prior, meaning the credit reported in June will be for the May payment. It can take the credit bureaus 30-45 days to reflect the reporting on their end.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act and California Civil code 1785.25 prohibits Homecomings Financial from reporting inaccurate information to a credit reporting agency.

For your protection, we have removed your name, account number, address and phone number from your original inquiry. If you have any further questions, please contact us through our Web site at www.homecomings.com or call Customer Care at 1-800-206-2901.

My response:

You are way behind on your reporting. Like I stated the Last reported 3/30 with the 2/15 balance. So you ARE NOT REPORTING ACCURATE

THANK YOU-

Re: Homcomings

Let me know about Homecomings... They are reporting me with an inaccurate balance on my report. I called Homecomings today.. A super nice lady verified that they are sending things correctly to the reporting agencies. I need to dispute this amount. Homecomings is reporting my balance is 95,100.. And my limit is $94,500. I actually owe 94,100. Someone must have made a 1 K typo..

I still like Homecomings. They were there as a lender when everybody else slammed a door in my face. Whenever I call for something the people there are super nice.. If I use the grace period they aren't on the phone calling me 5 times a day. I hope maybe someday I can get out of a sub prime loan with them and can get them to do a prime loan for me. But my credit score has been froze for the last 45 days because of this 1 K typo on my credit report. It was going up at a rate of 10 points a month before Homecomings is showing up over the limit... At least my score hasn't dropped..

When they changed account numbers a few months ago (added a 7 to the front) my balance and payment amount started reporting wrong. I E-mailed and they gave me the old delayed.

July 1st they started reporting every month at the beginning of the month. I disputed to EXP, they opened a dispute with EX and TU and sent new updated with NO LATES to EX and EQ but the account did not change out of dispute when they were done.

I called all three CRA's and disputed the dispute status as they were all updated. TU asked if i wanted to dispute the lates and I said sure, well now the lates are off TU now.

I sent a nice email to homecomings to please expedite the release of the dispute as my CR's were updated,

Re: Homcomings

Hi Timothy,

My hubby has a 30 day late on his CR from Homecomings and it was because back when they changed their billing and things over last year, their phone system was down for about 2-3 days.  I couldn't make the payment over the phone because the message kept telling me that I was going to have to call back at another time.
I just sent a GW letter to them today and I am HOPING that they take it off.  It wasn't our fault.  Obviously our fault that we were late but we always pay before the 30 days!  It sounds like you have had good luck with them.  Do you have any advice???

Re: Homcomings

Is your balance being reported correctly?
(hint, hint)

If you send a GW, call them or dispute- they WILL set all 3 cra's to dispute status- and investigate-

My lates were PRIOR to the billing/account number change over-
