Let me see if I have this straight. In order to get the REAL info, one must pull directly from www.experian/transunion/equifax.com and NOT from here on myfico?

The only place to get all 3 FICOs together is only via MyFICO.

If you pull your reports directly from the 3 and order your scores you'll only find that EQ is a real FICO score. The other two if pulled from there are fake scores.

If you pull your report directly from the 3 you'll also find info you can't get from here or anywhere else (generally speaking) as you can from those sites like more contact info, more acct info, more acct history, and soft inquiries.

Edit to add....use both set of reports in tandem. Use both in repair (scores needed for cause and effect) and rebuilding (Mortgage lenders, for example, use mostly FICO scores).

Same. No point in pulling the others more often than that. I feel like ScoreWatch is the best product for someone obsessed with pulling FICO scores as often as possible. Unless I'm mistaken, it's the cheapest way to get the most frequent FICO score updates.

Re: How Often Do You Pull Your Scores?

Now that Scorewatch is crippled, I only pull my score when I'm about to apply for credit or when I know there has been a big change to my credit report.

I pulled once for a baseline. I'm also signed up for EQ scorewatch. I plan to pull again once my report looks like I want it to, to see if my score is high enough for me to consider apping for a couple of things.

Re: How Often Do You Pull Your Scores?

How can anyone afford to pull all these scores? They need to have a service for people who can't afford it to get them for FREE!

Re: How Often Do You Pull Your Scores?

You can get your CRs for free once a year. annualcreditreport.com

You also can get a free CR if you are victim of ID theft, have an adverse action against you, and various other reasons based on both federal and state law.

We like to post our FICO scores to show an apple to apple comparison with others, but all you really need to 'clean' up your credit is your CR.

Re: How Often Do You Pull Your Scores?

I don't know my FICO score, because I don't have the money to pay for them right now.
