Statements closed on Saturday, 20 August. How soon should the new balances be reflected on credit reports? Nothing as of today, but curious when we should expect the new datapoints to hit. :-)
Looking forward to seeing what my b/f''s new score is. :-)
Don't know for Capital One, but BoA usually shows on my report within a few days after statement close date
Lenders has their ways of reporting to the credit bureaus. Usually, most lenders take the route of sending that info after a statement has been cut. Other lenders (such as DCU) will report to the bureaus around the end/start of a month.
Once submitted, that is up to when the credit bureau can update. For all, we know it can take one day, two days, five days, etc. It all depends on how fast the bureau can process that update.
For my two BofA cards, most months the updated balances appear on Experian three days after statements cut. It has taken four days when the statement cuts on a Saturday. So I'm guessing that one will appear on EX tomorrow, if it's not there today. The other bureaus are harder to get reliable daily updates for, so I'm not sure about them.
I don't have any recent data on when Capital One updates appear.

Awesome. My BF and I both have free accounts on Experian, so I always try to wait until I am pretty sure there has been an update, since I think they only happen once a week on the free accounts. We use Credit Kaarma for the other two, and while they now claim to do daily updates, I cannot tell what day that is. :-)

I am waiting until his scores update to make some other moves, so I wish it would happen already. :-)
Still no updates. I hope by Friday. :-)
Equifax now has both balances reporting and he shows a FAKO score of 757. Transunion still shows his old Capital One balance of around $7,000 (of $7,500) with a FAKO of 718.
