How do You get Equifax to delete a negative item you know is wrong ?

I have A negative listing i have disputed 7 times, but it keepes coming back verified or changed a little, but still not

correct. THe date of first delinquency is my big concern and some missed payments when it was paid.It is my child support accounts. My dates of first delinquency are december of 2003.One case reports august of 2007 and another one reports january of 2004.Also the amount is incorrect on one.

My understanding is that child support debt is handled in a far different manner than normal consumer credit debt.

Since child support payments are court ordered, not only do they become automatic judgments in many states, they also can trigger automatic tax liens when a certain amount of time has lapsed without each individual payment being made.

DOFD for child support debt can be considered the date that you missed the last child support payment due on the month that your entire child support obligation legally ends.

The good news is that many states will remove the account entirely (as well as the judgments and tax liens, if any) if you pay the entire amount owed.
