can you provide examples of triggers that will give you a score update?
While we're at it, can someone tell me why sometimes credit karma updates 3 days in a row and then other times i have to wait a week?
@Anonymous wrote:Hi all,
Is it just thru myfico.com that you pay the monthly fee?
What other sites (is that allowed to even mention?) do you pay for monitoring?
I just need help knowing which one to sign up with, rather which one to stay with.
It is so overwhelming and I just need to get a grip on it.
Also, how many times do you update to view your score?
I see a lot of people with like a monthly update on thier signature. I am just looknig for some direction.
Thanks!

Hello, first off, Welcome to the forum!! I have used CCT but after a month or so I went back with myFICO. I don't really have an answer as to why other than personal preference. Also, I do look at CK every so often but only use it for information, I don't pay any attention to the listed scores. Good luck in whatever you choose.
@Anonymous wrote:How do you monitor your scores online?
I don't really. I get a TU FICO 8 from Discover, EX FICO 8 Bankcard from FNBO, EQ FICO NextGen from PenFed and an EX FICO 8 from AmEx. If I need other FICO's I'll pull them one time as needed/desired but that has only happened once in the past 2 years.
You'll need to decide based on what you specifically need/want and what you're willing to pay. Others have already pointed out that myFICO is trigger based while services like CCT are not. You also need to consider that not all creditors use the same FICO model so if you're pulling scores to see what a creditor will pull for you then you need to know the model and CRA used by the creditor and then pull that score. CCT only provides FICO 8's.
I'm more concerned with the data in my reports and Credit Karma offers free access to TU and EQ report data with weekly updates.

It's always overwhelming to consider every possible choice on any topic. You have to narrow down the options with your specific needs/wants to a manageable set of options.

There's a page with info on myFICO triggers:

No idea. It should update weekly.
I use USAA's CreditCheck® & ID Monitor (Experian®, Equifax®, TransUnion®), and pay $12 a month to get my updated scores once a month from all 3. It also notifies me if there are any changes through out the month as far as inquiries and other alerts. I think thats a really useful tool to monitor fraud.

I noticed my ck update weekly or whenever I get an inquiry.
