How is this possible?

A new collections item has been added to my credit report. The kicker is it's by an internet hosting company which was never provided my social security number. I have the original contract as well.

the reporting company is Escalate LLC. How are they able to report to my credit without possession of my social security number?

If the name and address match that is all they need.

+1. Also creditors or CAs can pull your report without using your SSN.

There are many ways for a legitimate unpaid debt to find the debtor and a few ways that it can find the wrong person. Sometimes it will find both but the wrong person can get it removed easily.

If it is your debt, it was almost certain that it would eventually find your CR.
