How long does it take to raise scores after identity theft?

2 items on the report were from identity theft. A police report was submitted to all 3 bureaus. The extended fraud alert is now in place. We submitted the reports about a week ago. We did dispute the items as well. Scores are so low now mostly because of those two items.

Once the items are removed, score recovery should occur within a matter of weeks.

The only caveat is you may be rebucketed, if those fraudulent entries were the only negatives on your CR. Thus, you may not get quite a big a recovery as you hoped for...at least not right away. But once you're rebucketed, your scores will continue increasing.
