Your sponser would have to join first...then they can get you in. Check out the membership eligibility page:

also search the forum for NFCU and you will find a lot of customers and fans...

Boggles the mind that a one-year Coast Guard enlisted can join but a disabled Vietnam veteran isn't allowed. I'm a vet (not Nam, that was just example), tried to join but was told veterans aren't eligible. Unless 20-year retired.
I didn't know that, I joined in boot camp so it never was an issue for me...are you still on inactive reserves? or did you get out a long time ago?

I wish I was you right now lol
That is nice of you to say, but you don't want the rest of my credit report.
I've got a foreclosure and a credit card settlement that I am recovering from, but at least my inquiries look good!

Out in 1999. Oh well USAA is nice enough
. The criteria for NFCU I was told was "receiving pay from the DOD." Which is why vets can't join, once they're out.

in the last two years Mine are.
Ex:8
Eq:5
Tu:6
Equifax: 1 (3/2013)
Experian: 4 (3/2013, 11/2013, 2/2014, 4/2014)
Transunion: 4 (11/2012, 3/2013, 3/2013, 2/2014)
I plan to app for Fidelity Amex on June 2 and I'm assuming that will be an Experian pull, which would bring it up to 5 inquires and leaving me with a total of 10 inquires combined (yikes!). I definitely plan to garden after that upcoming app because I do hope to start shopping for an auto loan next Summer.
I don't know the exact number, but I do know that 5 inquiries either aged off or hit the 1 year mark this month, and my TU FAKO (according to Barclays and Discover) shot up 30 points.
Huh. Who knew five measely INQs could matter so much. ![]()
