How to Remove Mortgage Lates

What's the best alternative to remove rolling mortgage lates on CR?

I recently realized that I have 3 months of rolling mortgage lates.  Back in September, I had a lot going on and I didn't realized that I missed my mortgage payment for that month, on top of that I haven't been receiving my mortgage statements to remind me.  Assuming that I've paid for September, I continued to make my regular payments for the next 3 months.  When I found out about my missed payment, I immediately made the payment.  Just because I didn't make my September payment, it has created a 3 months of rolling mortgage late and destroy my fico score.  For over 2+ years, I have excellent mortgage payment history as well as other payment (credit cards, automoblies, etc...).  Can someone please advise me on how I can fight to remove those mortgage lates from my CR?

Yes, afraid that's going to hurt.

I would suggest calling and begging and pleading with them to help you.

 Tell them it was a temporary set-back, but you are now back good to go. Let them know how wonderful they are to do business with. Remind them of your excellent payment history, and whatever greatness you can come up with.

 If you get someone sympathetic enough, they MAY help you. I really don't see much else that you can do to fix it.

Keep bugging them if it doesn't work the first time. Eventually, you may get someone with a heart.

edit to say: Don't tell them you simply FORGOT!! It's not something they will want to hear, trust me. They will just assume you may "forget" to pay another....
