Re: I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. That is shocking to me. First, congrats. Second, let me play devils advocate - There is something wrong with this. How does someone who has bad credit climb into the mid 700s within 11 months? Doesn't make sense to me. This shows there are some glaring problems with our whole credit system and quite frankly is a bit of a slap in the face to people who pay their bills on time for 10+ years and sit in the mid to high 700s.

With that out of the way, how did you do it?

What issues did you have in your past?

You said you have been fighting the good fight for 18 months, what was your credit score then?

Thanks and congrats.

Re: I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all I posted a reply the other day on all that I had done to repair my credit but the post was deleted for certain reasons. Let me say that I didn't do anything out of the ordinary on fixing my credit. I read this forum and put the info to work for me. Two years ago I had a Fako credit score if under 500 and wanted to do something to fix it but had no clue on how so I ignored it. Then I found out the hard way that you need good credit for dang near everything in this world. So I began the process and pulled my fico credit score and reviewed it and started looking for problems and fixed all of those first (name, address, employer, etc.) Next I disputed everything bad that was over seven years old. Then most everything else had been sent to collections. So I sent a validation letter to all collection accounts on my credit and about 2/3 of them were deleted. The rest were taken care of also with more letters and PFD letters. During al of this I had bought a new truck and never missed a payment also had a credit card that I never was late on either. Finally I hade my credit score up there to buy a house so I did and the loan amount was more than the purchase price of the home and I was able to pay my truck and credit cards off. So currently on my credit the only thing that shows I owe money on is my mortgage. If anyone has any questions on what I did different you are more than welcome to PM me.

Wow... 500's to 700's in a year! That was my goal as well but I think it's going to take me a few more months because I got myself into trouble over the holidays. Smiley Happy

I should be in the 700's by April, which is 15 months after I started in the 500's.
