When you update your reports, you see the latest data that has been posted by the CRA's.
Most of my credit cards send updates to the CRA's on the same day they cut my monthly statement, and I see the changes anywhere from 2 to 10 days later. My HSBC accounts don't update as regularly -- some months they don't update at all.
