I just realized a CA won a judgement against me outside of SOL

Can I do anything about this?  Can I sue the CA even though the garnishment of the judgement concluded 12 months ago?  I Know this account was at least a couple of years past SOL.

Were you served and not appear. Or not served?

Honestly, I can't recall ever being served.  I remember getting letters from attorneys mentioning they were going to take action, but I don't ever recall getting information about a lawsuit, or a court date, or anything.

Can I sue to get this money back?

Call your county courthouse and them what is considered "proper service" in your state.

I think you'd have to file a motion to vacate the judgement if you weren't properly served.

That is exactly where we are.  I was very busy with work at the time, even more uneducated about all of these issues, knew the debt was originally mine, and just let the garnishment go through.  All was paid as of last February (07).

Since it was in the past I have no idea what if anything that can be done. This is how CAs are making millions!
