Oh but there is more! I have an Amex Gold charge card and PIF 18 days before Amex reported to the CRA's thinking it would report a zero balance. But no, I charged $4306 and this is the bal reported. Essentially I maxed out my Amex gold card, but wait how can you max out a no preset limit charge card. FICO and the CRA's gotta correct this. In the meantime I have to get Amex to report the proper bal so I am not maxing this card out every month (well supposedly).

I'm thinking that is the right way since my credit report states that when no limit is indicated the "high" balance is used in its place. Thanks for any insight on the matter.
I just spoke with a CSR at Amex's credit reporting dep't and filed a dispute. They said the balances that are reporting are incorrect. She also said Amex does not report your statement balance rather your balance at the time the info is transmitted. She told me my balance was PIF more than two weeks before they reported to the CRA's. I hope this gets resolved soon.

I have found they report the statement balance.
I have started paying twice a month to all the CC's.
Min when the statement post and as much as possible/budgeted just before the statement date.
I have a card that is only used for business that was killing me score because of hight UTL. This solved that.
