Incorrect Reporting of Account from Equifax

Yes, I have submitted a dispute to EQ as well as faxed them the original proof to be attached to the dispute number and on their records.

Yes, I have also contacted the creditor and she reviewed all their records and confirmed they have not submitted anything in regard to my account to EQ for 3 years since the original User Data Form was submitted.  She also sent another User Data Form to EQ 2 days ago.

I too am disputing a trade line in my Equifax report. They continue to report a trade line as 120 days past due as of March 2009 when the account was actually paid in full in April 2004 and closed same date. The account was never past due. I have complained to the BBB in their area and the creditor never responded to the complaint. I've also complained to the company and they're non-responsive.

Equifax in my opinion just continues to report the bad information and does not do any investigation because if they did, they would have updated my report 5 years ago. Frustrating.

Do you have a copy of the check you made the payment with or can you get a copy? Do yuo have a statement from the creditor showing a the payment made and a zero balance? If so submit that as part of the dispute.
