Incorrect info on CR

I’ll do my best to keep it short.

In 2005 I had a judgment against me in California which was paid in full to Arrow Financial Services. I received a letter of satisfaction from the attorney at the law office that filed it initially stating that the judgment was satisfied and paid in full. I put this in my file and forgot about it (I was supposed to file with the county clerk)

In 2006 I pull up my reports and see that it is not listed as paid in full by Arrow Financial. It shows a balance and is reporting late. I dispute this via the online system saying it’s paid but it comes back verified. (I disputed another other item that was not mine and it came off)

Fast forward to last week when I decide I want to see if I can qualify for a home loan. I discover this site and read. I then check my fico scores: TU 669, EQ 657, EX 631 and pull my reports.

The judgement is still listed with no status as expected.

Arrow Financial has changed the account status to Paid\Settlement for less than full amount. Which is untrue and which I disputed 2 years prior. They have also been posting lates on it and other negative stuff the entire time. I sent GW letters to all of the derogatory accounts (a couple collections(paid) and a few lates/charge offs all around 3-5 years old) on my CRs including Arrow Financial Services.

My question is, how do I proceed with Arrow Financial Services? Should I fax the documents I received from their attorney to the credit bureaus showing that it was paid in full in 2005? Would it be possible to get all the negative late stuff or the entire history deleted? And why did it come back verified when it’s clearly bogus?

Would it be possible to use the documents I received from their attorney as leverage to get the collection and even the judgment deleted from my CRs? Also, considering I have not filed the satisfaction of judgment document yet, would it be possible to send a goodwill letter to the attorney’s office that filed the case against me and see if they would be willing to file a letter of nonsuit with the court (Something I learned about on the forums)?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer! edited for loss of format on copy paste

Re: Incorrect info on CR

You need to dispute this in writing to the CRA's-

They MUST notify you within 5 days to re-insert, The funisher must certify the data, the CRA must prevent re-insert.
FCRA § 611(5)(B) Requirements Relating to Reinsertion of Previously Deleted Material

If any information that has been deleted from a consumer's file pursuant to subparagraph (A) is reinserted in the file, the consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of the reinsertion in writing not later than 5 business days after the reinsertion or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means available to the agency.

(iii) Additional information. As part of, or in addition to, the notice under clause

Re: Incorrect info on CR

So I just fax or mail copies of the satisfaction of judgment letter to the CRAs along with a dispute letter? Will they remove the entire entry or just correct the last 2 years of late reporting and collections and settlement?

Any advice on whether it's worth the trouble to write a GW letter to the attorney that represented Arrow on my case and try of a nonsuit letter?

Re: Incorrect info on CR

I don't have a letter ready for you-
I paraphased one- but I am sure you can clean it up and put your own thoughts into it.
Keep it simple-

You need to send the CRA a letter-CMRRR

Name
Address
Report Number
SSN

Subject: Reinsert of disputed information

Dear CRA,
On XX/XX/2XXX I disputed this judgment (XXX low life CA)  and it was properly removed. I discoved on XX/xx/2XXX that it had been re-inserted.

Per FCRA § 611(5)(B) Requirements Relating to Reinsertion of Previously Deleted Material - I did not receive any notice to reinsert this data, even though it would be requirred within 5 days.

As you have violated my rights under FCRA; I demand this item removed within 5 days of recept of this letter or I am prepared to persue any legal actions under the laws of this great country.
