Inquires gone

I had two inquires from a collection agency that were showing up on my Transunion report that are now gone.  After speaking with TU on several occasions and getting the run around, I decided to email the CEO and anybody else at TU.  Well the COO,  REMOVED, called me personally and said he would get back with me at the end of the day.  He then called back shortly and said that the inquiries had been removed.  I wonder how much the deleted inquiries will raise my score???

Re: Inquires gone

Is that a... question?

Not a lot, I would venture a guess.

Oh I see it's from a collection agency, didn't read that before.  Still, I doubt that factors at all into the score.  2 inquiries, depending what "bucket" you're in, I would say 5 - 10 points.  And I pulled that number out of my magic hat.

Re: Inquires gone

IMO, inquiry damage is overrated. If those were recent (within the past 2 months) and you have no other inquiries and your score is around 800, then I'd venture a guess of 5 points returned. BTW, CAs have permissible purpose, per the FCRA.

My score is nowhere near 800, but is around 650 on avg. On TU, I just went from 0 to 1 inquiry with no change in score (that surprised me). On EX, of my last 10 inquiries, there have been no change at all in score (currently at 35 or so).
