Inquiries falling off early????

a weird thing has been going on ..... i have inquaries falling off that are 6 months old or less,  im not quite sure why, its only on transunion.   i belong to seval free credit monitoring sites, as well as being a paid member here.  and what it looks like is every time a creditor does a account review , or a new soft pull shows up ... a hard inquary is getting erased.... i went from 40 inq last month down to 20 and all inq removed have been in the past 2-3 months???

If this is true, this sounds like good news to me!  Is this not the fabled bump method that was supposedly discontinued from TU awhile back?  I missed out when it was in effect, as I had rarely given any thought toward my credit for quite some time until recently.  

I wonder if anyone else can test this out on their TU and confirm it?  Or is this just a black swan event?

eadacorp84, are you sure you really had 40 inquiries?

Jokingly...are you upset because you were working diligently to break the record?  Have you noticed any change in the score?  Are you going to attempt to get rid of the remaining 20 through the same process?  Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!

they are def falling off....i wish i knew how to post screen shots but just yesterday 10 fell off , and 10 the month before that,   recently the inquarys that came off were from july 1- july 27th, now keep in mind i have several cards that do a soft full every month discover, cap1 ect as part of monitoring service. all these co-inside with the monthly softpulls.

yes score increased 9 pts with each 10 removed.   it just so happends that i have 10 soft pulls between.... 1 each week from credit karma(5 per mo) 1 from each credit card company that has free fico score  (4), and 1 from experian credit tracker...  = 10 soft pulls per month........

Advocation of the bump method is a taboo subject on myFico, it can only be mentioned in passing and not discussed in detail. Thanks for your understanding on this,

Just be aware...that which dissapears can (and usually does) reappear some time down the road.  Like kids graduating college.

I offer my apology, I was not aware.  I was reared elsewhere, where such behavior is encouraged.  I can say that this is something I have not participated in, if that helps.    I'm not sure if I should say how I felt about when I found out about it, in relation to it supposedly already being a thing of the past.  

If it matters, I also obviously didn't quite believe the OP.
