Inquiries

How much do inquiries on my credit report lower my score and how do I get rid of them?

Re: Inquiries

The amount inquiries lower your credit score is dependent on your particular credit profile and is not easily predicted.  Inquiries will fall off 2 years after the date and that is the only way to remove a legitimate inquiry.

Re: Inquiries

You might not notice any change in scores unless you receive new credit or have a lot of ings. Ings count for 1 year but will remain on the CR for 2 years.

I had 4 hard inqs all on EX (just my luck!) within 4 days as I was 'adjusting' my credit profile, and that score dropped 18 pts (from 807 to 789).  But a year from now they won't count for the score, and a year later, they'll be gone.  Definately worth the hit in my case.
