Inquiry Dispute?

Long story short - I was browsing Lending Tree for debt consolidation rates (all soft pulls).

I saw an 'apply' link next to a rate from OneMain Financial, and thinking it was a link to the offer, I clicked it. Turns out, since Lending Tree had already pre-filled my information and given it to One Main, that link resulted in a hard pull and my Experian score dropped 6 points. I did not intend to apply for anything.

I am livid. Can I dispute this?

this happened to me as well, but luckily the terms were good-so i took the loan

but i closed my account with them shortly after....

if the rate is provided that means an SP has already been done - the Apply is the HP 

so for all sites, keep that in mind

i dont think those 6pts will be gone for long - give it a couple of months

They come back in 365 days. I don’t see how you can get out of it, you clicked the link.

Now you may get points from somewhere else before then.
