I started my disputing first with the CRAs directly with each of them. On one or more of them, possibly EQ included, as soon as I disputed, my score(s) shot way up. As items came back verified, my score dropped little by little. During this period, I pulled MyFico reports every other week and was able to see these changes. Therefore, if you dispute, the disputed item isn't factored into your score, effectively showing a deleted acct. IMHO.

This is true --except on judgments and collections, I think it is. (Someone help me out here...) You can get spoiled by that artificially high score, if the baddies don't get cleaned up after all!
