Does anyone have a backdoor number to JP Morgan Chase bank?
Does anyone know their criteria for approving you for a bank account?

What's the issue? You don't call a credit analyst regarding a bank account.
I would like to know why I was denied a bank account based on my credit report.
My credit report was in pretty good condition.
My credit score (FICO) was 797 AFTER the hit it took from JP doing a hard pull. There are only 4 hard pulls in the last 2 years.
No judgements. No lates reported. No settlements. So I am baffled about why I was turned down.
Any feedback?

Hello IOBA,
I have been in banking for a while. I can tell you right now, it was not your credit report or your score that led to you being denied for the bank account. At some point you may have bounced a check and whenever you bounce a check or have an unpaid or overdrawn account which was closed as charge off you would be put on chexsystem. It is federally mandated that banks check your social for chexsystem records to show any bounced check in the past or overdrawn account - this may have been the reason for the account denial. Again, this is only my opinion and from my experiences.
I appreciate the response.
The bank was very specific with the reason they denied me -- my credit report. My credit report does not have any bounced checks, closed accounts, things like that.
I have overdraft protection on my bank account.
An account has not been closed due to a bounced check. For another matter, I have requested a copy of my "file" from ChexSystems. I suspect that the x bf may have done something there without my knowledge. Again, he and did not do joint or authorized user. Again, I learned that he applied and was approved on my credit, but I am still dealing with that. The first round of cards was closed, then he opened new ones. Working on that.
I did find out that he closed my bank account with the local bank. At first they would not talk to me about it, but now their is one person in the office who says she will talk to me about it over the phone. He might have done something illegal there. Of course, I have not returned to that bank! And I had overdraft protection ($1000) and a cushion (minimum balance).

You need to call the denying bank and get a better explaination. That one is pretty sketchy. (Which information on what credit report.)
As far as the ex is concerned he is a fraudster/identity theif. You need to file a police report in order to protect your own rights in these matters.

I agree with Cwcid,
They have not provided you with a concrete answer. Ask them what exactly on the report caused a denial. Filing a police report against your ex is a good way to start and probably putting some notes on your credit profiles with the beureus.
Another scenario is that he may have opened other accounts on your name at other banks - such as checking and savings and maybe bounced a check there - you may never know - such things are not reported to beureus such NSF checks. Furthemore, you said that he closed you account at a bank and someone is willing to talk to you about it. You sound very confident that nothing IS wrong but you should be sure by going to that bank- you are just assuming - the overdraft protection may have been used and the account closed under overdraft situation. Let us know what the bank says and you should also tell us about your Chexsystem file.
I received my ChexSystem report. There is NOTHING negative on it at all! Nada!
The worst thing on there is a bank misspelled my last name, but the same day, did another inquiry with the correct spelling. They misspelled it by one letter on the keyboard.
I am going to petition that it be removed.
Does anyone have a number for JP Morgan Chase that would get me to a real person? Their denial message does not have a phone number.
Hey IOBA,
They probably saw that you made a settlement

Guess who I'm having a dispute with "JP Morgan/Chase Manhattan Bank"
Guess who I'm trying to settle with "JP Morgan/Chase Manhattan Bank"
So they know they are going to be unfair, screw people, and fully take advantage of people who are afraid to have any blemish on their credit report.
You just don't fit their profile for the ideal victim. Anyone who has tried to settle or negotiate does not make a good victim for them.
Be Glad! Your past negotiations have vaccinated you against evil bankers.
How goes the war with Chase?
In all your efforts, have you come across a back door phone number for Chase?
