Joining DCU takes a while....

Si I took the credit pull to join DCU for savings & checking and overdraft.  That was monday, and moments after I was emailed to send in a license, so PDF'd it immediately.  Today , Thursday they asked for PDF of SS card and cable bill. Now I know what people mean by "it takes a week or more" 

Next month  I'll apply for credit or I'll wait uintil I get a preapproved email or something from them

That's odd. I applied for an auto refinance loan and a savings account on the same day. 3 days later both accounts were open.

Took me 6 business when all was said and done.

For some approvals are instant. If they have to verify documents it might take a bit.

When I opened an account a year or so ago at a new institution,  it was instant. However, I did need to drop a utility bill for address verification at the branch later. That is a federal regulation and part of the new banking laws.

Well I'm in, they emailed me this am an said congrats, paperwork will arrive in 7-10 days. Once I get that I'll log in and see what offers they have for credit. Glad that's done, DCU been talked about since I became a credit guru back in 2005!

Due to a bk, I had to "screw " usaa and Navy! Great ones to have, especially usaa. Penfed was screwed to but they still hold our mortgage ( perfect record)
