Late Payments?

I’m hoping this is the right place to post this. I need some help and I’m not sure what to do.

I have three 30 day late payments on my VS payment history. I’ve had the card for 2 years now. Two of them are back to back and the other one is from January of last year, I was injured at work and unable to pay it. The two that are back to back, I forgot about them, but once I made the payment for them, late fees, plus more, a month later Comenity Bank gave me a thousand dollar CLI on all the cards that are through them. All of my Comenity Bank cards are between 3 and 4 thousand dollars. The VS is the only one I’ve ever been late on. My questions are: Does anyone know why Comenity did this and how do I go about removing the late from showing on my CRs?

I also have 3 30 day late payments on my car payment history. When I got injured at work, this is what cause 2 of the late car payments, these were back to back. My son needed stuff for school and that caused the third one. At the time I bought the car, I could only put down 1500 and Global Lending Services is the only bank that would touch me. I’m paying 16.9 percent on the car, I want out of the loan. How do I get those 3 30 day late off my CR?

Capitol One offered me a loan at 9.9 percent, I just didn’t have the four thousand laying around to put down on the car. Earlier today CapOne gave me an unsecured QuickSilver card starting at 500. I have a secured card with them with a 1500-dollar limit that I’ve never been late on. I received an email from them about refinancing my car through them with rates between 6.9 and 9.9, between the payoff and the new rate my car payment would run between 219 and 269, far better than the 350 I’m paying now.

I’ve been doing a lot of work on my credit the past 2 years. It’s nice to see I’m making some good ground. I’ve taken 2 promotions at work in the past year, so financially I can afford to take care of my baddies, it’s nice.

Re: Late Payments?

Don't overlook the Rebuilding subforum.  It sounds like these are valid and if that's the case all you can do is request goodwill removal.

How do I do a GW? Do I just write them and ask them to remove the lates from the account?

Pretty much that's what you do.  Look in the rebuilding your credit forum for GW letter examples.
