Late payment affect score

I thought late payments dont affect your score after so long I have a 30 day late on a charge off thats almost 7 years old. When i go to my scroes on my fico it says payment history very good you have 1 30 late payment on your report. If it didnt hurt my score anymore this shouldnt say that right.

Derogs tend to fall off after 7 years but the exact timing of when they fall off may not be exactly 7 years to the day.
