Lates approaching 7 years

Good afternoon,

I have a couple student loan accounts that are approaching 7 years on lates I was never able to get removed. On EX, 3 accounts show a 60 day late from 6/2010 and those are also on EQ and TU with another student loan showing 120 lates from 6/2010 to 8/2010 on a closed paid account on those 2 reports but not EX. My question is, is there anything I can do to maybe push these along to get the late removed or just wait it out? And I know the 60 late probably is not affecting my score much now but how about those 120s?

Thanks.

Re: Lates approaching 7 years

Agreed that the 60's aren't impacting your score much, but the 120's are majors so they definitely are.  What are your current FICO scores?  Outside of that account, do you have any other accounts with negative information?

EX - 701 (AMEX 08) EQ- 682 (DCU as of Feb 17), and I don't think I get my TU score from any sources. Balances are a bit high on some cards but all under 75 percent. These are my only negatives on my report. Everything has been clean for the last 3-4 years.

Re: Lates approaching 7 years

In stating that you were never able to get the delinquencies removed, I presume that you contacted the CRA requesting early exclusion, and it was denied.

Was their basis simply that they were not granting an early exclusion, or did they deny because on was a federal student loan for which the 7 year exclusion period did not apply, and thus its continued reporting was mandated?

Re: Lates approaching 7 years

I am not aware of how to do an early exclusion, I was referring to good will letters and attempts with the creditors I had made in the past.

Re: Lates approaching 7 years

What is the process for requesting early exclusion of lates? I have done obsolete disputes in the past but that would remove the trade line and I did it when they had online chat.
