Length of time before charge-off

My reports show that BofA didn't charge-off my account for 2 years, as a result, my reports show
1 1/2 years of 180 lates each month!!  Is there a set time that creditors can hold an account and report lates like that before they charge it off?

Re: Length of time before charge-off

Scoring wise- FICO sees charge off and the date - it does not even pay attention to the lates-

There are standards to CO - but nothing legaly binding to when they must charge to profit and loss.

They can however report CO every month until CRTP.

Re: Length of time before charge-off

thank you!  i'm not seeing a date charged off on my equifax, just status of charge-off.  I writing my dispute with them now, there are so many inaccuracies and info not reporting it's crazy.
