Library Collection

I have been searching the forum trying to find the right path for me but there are so many different answers.

I have an item in collections from my local Library:

The CA is Unique NTL.

The amount it collection is $28.00

I have paid the Library directly and have a statement that shows I do not owe any fines,

and the receipt from the payment.

I would like to have this removed from my credit report.

Sooo where should I start??

Littleheart,

You will need to send a GW letter to whoever is reporting on your credit report, most likely the CA.  Explain to them the situation and that it is such a small amount and it is affecting your credit, and ask for goodwill to delete the item.  I don't see why they wouldn't for such a small amount but every CA is different.  Good luck.
