Recently while doing some errands I saw a business that I had not previously noticed called LienFactors. I got curious and did a little online searching: they've been around since 2005 but moved into the current premises about six weeks ago. As I had guessed from the name, they buy judgments from creditors and then attempt to collect (presumably they pay a discount on the value of each judgment based on their assessment of how easily they can collect from the defendant). Aside from seeing their shingle and what I learned in a few minutes of online searching I know absolutely nothing about them.
I wonder if anybody on this board has heard from them...
